Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the websites, courses, and services offered by the American Institute of Modern Trichology ("AIMT," "we," "us"). By creating an account or purchasing a course, you agree to these Terms.

1. What we provide

AIMT offers online professional education for beauty professionals, including the Head Spa Certification Course. Programs may include written curriculum, video instruction, interactive learning, Cadence, practitioner tools, required checkpoints, assessments, and — where the certification standard is successfully met — an AIMT credential with a verifiable credential ID.

2. Educational certification, not licensure

AIMT certifications document the completion of professional education. They are not a state cosmetology license, medical credential, or government-issued qualification, and they do not by themselves authorize you to perform services that your state or country regulates. You are responsible for knowing and complying with the licensing requirements that apply to your work in your jurisdiction.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. Accounts and course access are personal to you: sharing your login, redistributing course materials, or purchasing on behalf of someone else without arrangement with us is not permitted. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase.

4. Purchases and access

Course prices are shown at checkout and processed by Stripe. Upon successful payment you receive access to the purchased course for the lifetime of the course offering. "Lifetime access" means for as long as AIMT offers the course, which we intend to be indefinitely; if a course is ever retired, we will provide reasonable advance notice and a means to complete it or download your certificate.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Intellectual property

All course content — curriculum, videos, photography, protocols, service frameworks, and branding — is owned by AIMT and protected by copyright. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to access and use the materials for your own professional education. You may not copy, republish, resell, share, or use the materials to create competing courses or training programs.

6. Cadence

Cadence is AIMT's AI-supported learning companion used for course questions and, in some programs, competency conversations. Like all AI systems, it can occasionally be inaccurate. Cadence's responses are educational support, not professional, medical, or legal advice, and the course curriculum remains the authoritative source for certification requirements. Cadence conversations may be processed by third-party AI providers as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Client services and professional judgment

Our courses teach service protocols, safety practices, and contraindication awareness, but the application of that education to real clients is your professional responsibility. AIMT is not liable for the outcomes of services you perform. Always operate within your licensure, follow local health regulations, and refer clients to medical professionals where appropriate.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the platform — including attempting to bypass course access controls, scraping or bulk-downloading content, abusing Cadence or the certificate system, reverse-engineering our services, or interfering with other students' use.

9. Certificates and revocation

Credentials are issued when AIMT systems verify that the applicable certification requirements have been met, and each carries a unique credential ID verifiable at our verification page. We may revoke a credential if it was obtained through account sharing, payment fraud, or violation of these Terms.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The services are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, AIMT disclaims all warranties, and our total liability arising out of your use of the services will not exceed the amount you paid for the course giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms as our services evolve. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use the services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
